Chocolate Shards

QUICK LIFE UPDATE: I’ve started college, and its been a month. Till I get my act together about my room and life in general, here is a quick post.

What alot of people love is a the fruit and nut chocolate bars you get in the store. So this is a nice twist. Its not a bar of chocolate but shards of chocolate. I honestly find this better than a bar since it doesn’t have as much chocolate.

For the Chocolate Shards:

  • A bar of Chocolate
  • Mixed Nuts
  • Mixed Dried Fruits

To start, chop your chocolate into little pieces and melt over a double boiler.

A double boiler is a boiling pot of water on the gas, with a heat proof bowl on the top. Make sure that the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the boiling water.

Cover a baking tray with a silicon mat and set aside.

Once your chocolate has melted, either pour it onto a silicon mat or spread it on. It depends on the consistency.

Then sprinkle the chocolate with mixed nuts and fruits.

Leave to set in the fridge for a few hours.

Once set, crack the chocolate into shards.
